Asensio shines as Madrid move within six points of league leaders
Marco Asensio scored one and made another for Real Madrid as they beat Celta Vigo 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The win moves Madrid within six points of leaders Barcelona, who face Valencia later on Sunday.
Asensio put Madrid ahead with a fine finish from the edge of the box after 20 minutes, and then turned provider for Vinicius Junior to make it 2-0 just before the hour mark.
Madrid were not at their best, but they did enough to secure a comfortable victory and keep the pressure on Barcelona.
The victory also means that Madrid have now won their last five games in all competitions, and they will be looking to continue that run when they face Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday.
